There was nothing there! I was very worried because I didn't know what I was gonna do. I asked my mom what happened and she said she was cleaning the porch and she tossed it off. This makes me wonder what would have happened if she didn't do that and how it would look today. I had fun creating this because I got help from my sisters. The powerful & shocking Google:
My Doodle 4 Google design shows about the things we use to give us energy and the things that produce energy. This is also very empowering to me because it is all women and this represents how women can also have power. I see this design for having more advanced robots and speaking electronics that walk and help. My medium for this design were colored pencils, I used different coloring techniques and shading. I want to make my drawing about driverless cars because I think this is really advanced and very technological. I feel that if there are driverless cars in the future I think families would be in touch because they are not so focused on driving and they are not so stressed. Maybe in the future it will be normal for everyone to have the driverless cars and the people that cant afford cars now can afford cars in the future. The driverless car can make an impact by helping people having and spending more time with their families.Artist develop skills:
I learned how to use paper mache, paper mache is made out of glue and water, then paper is dipped to cover the project. Paper mache makes your project sturdy. I twisted newspaper and taped it to make the branches. I made the trunk and glued it onto circles of cardboard, after that I put hot glue on the trunk to make it look like little roots. After that I wrapped my tree with aluminum foil to make it sturdy. After that I began to paper mache my tree. I started painting my tree with brown and adding leftover styrofoam to the winter part of my tree. I also added beads to the spring side, but I'm not done yet. Artist can Engage and Persist: I did in fact have challenges with my artwork, the newspaper I was using to make the branches was really soft and I did not know what to do, so I asked Ms. Shumann and she told me to wrap the whole tree around the aluminum foil. I did wrap it and it made it easier to work with, I then paper mached over the aluminum foil. I learned that not everything comes as expected because not everything is going to come out as you want it so you have to compromise. Artist can Explore: Some issues I saw in my artwork... I paper mached the tree and I wanted to paint it during lunch and I saw it and it still wasn't dry, so I had to wait for it to dry the next day. I added hot glue to the trunk to make it look like baby roots, it turns out it looks really good and it gives my tree more texture. My artwork shows the differences between Spring and Winter. Spring has flowers and grass and warmness. Winter is cold and dead. I enjoyed the struggles and the happiness of my artwork. What is earth art?... Earth art is a form of art that shows the beauty of nature, art is everywhere and everything is art. This demonstrates the simplicity and beauty of the nature outside. We tend to forget of the earth made things and this art shows how amazing the earth truly is. Artist can develop skills... I gained skills in learning about art, I did not really care for nature until I found out you can make something pretty out of it. I gained knowledge in using what is available because at my house we have Pecan trees at my house and when it is Autumn the Pecans fall to the ground. This is one of the materials I used for my project. I figured out that I am talented in finding creative ways to make things new for example I used old leaves and crumpled them up and used this in my project. Artist can engage and persist... Some challenges I faced were when I wanted to find a good place to make my earth work I could not find anywhere my younger sisters would not touch, I ended up putting my art on our porch. Lighting was terrible! I couldn't find anywhere with good lighting because it was so dark outside because of the new schedule and because I stay after school. I learned that not everything is going to go as I want it because not everything is perfect. Artist can explore... I was not sure of what else to use in my project besides the Pecans because that's what I was thinking mostly about. I thought the crumpled up leaves would not look good but turns out they looked great. Some new material that I used was everything! I was not familiar with the earth art and so it was sort of a learning experience for me. I enjoyed going outside and letting my sisters help, its different because I am not a outdoors person. Fun theory is the way to make things that are usually boring turned into fun. I can use fun theory by turning boring and old things like chores and turn them into fun games. For example creating a Basketball hoop for the recycled water bottles, so you throw the bottles in the hoop to make it fun and enjoyable. Sometimes people don't want to get up because they are lazy and by creating a game they would want to play.
As artist I can engage and persist...
Some challenges that I faced was that I really did not know what to do and what to make, so I decided to make my Styrogami sculpture abstract. I did mess up when I painted the hints of pink and I mixed white and red to make this Pink but it still looked bad so I ended up using the red Metallic that looks way better. I learned that not everything comes perfectly, which means you have to put effort in and make the best you can out of it and nothing is ever perfect. A a artist I can develop craft... I learned how to use a ex-acto knife and I also learned how to make precise lines. I also learned how to use Styrofoam and learn how to form art out of it. I learned how to make crisp lines using the knife, I also learned to use a small brush to touch up the places I got paint on where I did not want. I developed my carving skills because I can now make them more precise. As a Artist I can Explore... I can explore by learning to wait for paint to dry because if it is not dry then it ruins and thickens and gets weird textures on it. I tried out using the hot glue gun instead of using the Elmer's glue because I was very impatient, It worked out good but it might not stay so sturdy because it was only a small dot. I used acrylic paint with a sparkly varnish and I did not like how it turned out. So I ended up using Metallic paint which was way better. Embrace the shake is about learning to accept the challenges in your life and succeed. The limitations in your life may help you learn new things about yourself and make your art unique. Your limitations can not be changed so you should change your thinking into a more positive way. You have to be different from everyone else and be who you are, not what everyone wants you to be. Embrace your flaws and show who you really are in your artwork.
